Vision
A "vision" is something a person sees. That is, they see words or pictures in their mind that others cannot see. God gives these visions to people. He uses visions to tell his people what he really wants them to know. Prophets had visions in the Old Testament (see: Ezekiel 1; Daniel 7-8, 10). Apostles had visions in the New Testament (see: Acts 10:9-48; 2 Corinthians 12:1; Revelation 1-22). Usually, visions are seen while the person is awake. However, sometimes God gives visions in dreams while a person is asleep.
