ωστε introduces consequence, not basis
...
As a result indicates that what follows in verses 13–14 is the
consequence of the progress of the gospel (cf. Bruce “the upshot of it
all has been this”). Even though the phrase has been discarded by many
translators, it is best to have it for a better connection.
Loh, I.-J., & Nida, E. A. (1995). A handbook on Paul’s letter to the
Philippians (p. 20). New York: United Bible Societies.
Also, I’ve made it plain that there are two results by combining the
sentences.

belt of truth for belt in truth
...
"Waist wrapped in truth" doesn’t convey the idea of a belt, which is
surely a component of the meaning. "Waist belted in truth" might work,
but it means verbing a noun. "Belt" is a necessarily implied component
and "truth" is surely the metaphorical belt.

Matthew 18:3 change "repent" to "turn"
...
Matthew 18:3 change "repent" to "turn." The original uses only the word for turn. Repent is derived from this and limits the concept to a mental process. What Jesus means is a more of a life-style and attitude change, is stated implicitly and should not be limited.
