my complaints

I would take off my sad face and be happy

"I would stop looking unhappy and smile"

I would be afraid of all my sorrows

Possible meanings are 1) Job is referring to his hurts 2) Job is referring to the complaints he has made against God, and is afraid that his complaining means that God will punish him. AT: "I would be scared of my troubles" or "I am scared of the bad things I have said against God"

I will be condemned

"I will be falsely accused and punished"

why, then, should I try in vain?

Job uses this question to emphasize that he does not think it is of any use trying to get God's attention AT: "It is no use working to get God's attention" (See: rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-rquestion)
