# Connecting Statement:

This is the next event in this part of the story. Jesus enters the temple in Jerusalem.

# Jesus entered the temple
|
|
|
|
You may need to make explicit that he first entered Jerusalem, where the temple was located. AT: "Jesus entered Jerusalem and then went to the temple courtyard" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-explicit]])

|
|
Only priests were allowed to enter the temple building. AT: "went into the temple courtyard" (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-explicit]])

|
|

|

The word "My" refers to God and "house" refers to the temple.
