God sent sulfur and fire to destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah (see: Genesis 19:24; Luke 17:29). These cities are an example of those who will be punished forever (see: Jude 7). God said he would punish the cities of Israel in a similar way if they disobeyed him (see: Deuteronomy 29:23).

God will send the devil, the devil’s angels, and all who do not belong to God to the lake of fire and sulfur (see: Matthew 25:41; Revelation 19:20; 20:10; 21:8).
