After Jesus died and was made alive again, he returned to heaven. In the Bible, it is written that Jesus will return to earth (see: Acts 1:9-11). When he returns he will save those who believe in him (see: Hebrews 9:28; Jude 1:21). Christians who have died will be made alive again. They will be given bodies that will never die again. The Christians who are alive will be changed and will also be given bodies that will never die. All of creation will also be changed in some way. All the Christians will meet Jesus in the air. Then they will live with him forever (see: Romans 8:18-21; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Jesus will also destroy the man of lawlessness (see: 2 Thessalonians 2:8). This is another name for the antichrist. Jesus is called a warrior and a king in Revelation. The armies of heaven will be with him. Jesus will defeat God’s enemies, including the beast and his false prophet. They will be thrown into the lake of fire (see: Revelation 19:11-21).

Jesus’ return could happen at any time. The Bible says that Jesus will return soon (see: Philippians 4:5; James 5:8; Revelation 1:3; 22:10). However, only God the Father knows when it will happen (see: Mark 13:32-37). Christians must always be ready for his return. They remain ready by obeying Jesus and waiting with happiness for him to return (see: Luke 12:40; Romans 8:22-25; 1 Corinthians 1:7; Philippians 3:20; 1 Thessalonians 5:6; Titus 2:12-13; James 1:21-22).
