\v 1 The city is established on his holy mountain.
|

\v 2 Yahweh loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other place in Israel.

|
|
\v 3 All you people in Jerusalem,
|
|
\q2 other people say wonderful things about your city.
|
|
|
|
|

|
\v 4 And Yahweh said, "I will talk of Rahab and Babyon
|
|
\q2 and the people there who know me.
|
|
\q2 There are some who know me among the people of Egypt and Babylonia,
|
|
\q2 and they live in the lands of Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia,
|
|
\q2 and they will say, 'Our home is Jerusalem and our land is Zion.'"

\v 5 Concerning Zion, people will say,
|
|
\q2 "All of these people who were born far away,
|
|
\q2 they call Jerusalem their home,
|
|
\q2 and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong."

\v 6 Yahweh will write a list of the names of the people of various groups who belong to him,
|
|
\q1 and he will say that he considers them all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

\v 7 They will all dance and sing, saying,
|
|
\q2 "Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings."
