\v 20 They had been set freed from the filthy things of this world when they came to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but then they were caught up again by these filthy things so that now they are worse off than they were before.

SUGGESTION: Change "had been set freed" to either "had been set free" or "had been freed"
