# Hope
Hope is wanting something to happen or knowing something will happen before it happens. Hope can be either certain or uncertain about things happening in the future (see: Romans 15:24; 3 John 1:14).
# Esperanza
In the Bible, the word "hope" also means "trust." For example, when someone says "My hope is in the Lord," this means that the person is trusting God (see: Psalm 33:18-19; Acts 24:14-15; Romans 5:1-2; 1 Timothy 4:10). It means the person can know that they will be given all the things that God promised his people.
La esperanza es desear algo que suceda o saber que algo va a suceder antes de que esto suceda. La esperanza puede ser cierta o incierta sobre las cosas que van a suceder en el futuro (ver: Romanos 15:24; 3 Juan 1:14).
En la Biblia, la palabra "esperanza" tambien significa "confiar". Por ejemplo, cuando alguien dice "Mi esperanza está en el Señor" siginifica que esta persona está confiando en Dios (ver: Salmo 33:18-19; Acts 24:14-15; Romanos 5:1-2; 1 Timothy 4:10). Significa que la persona puede saber que Dios le va a dar todas las cosas que DIos ha prometido a su gente.
