This may refer to enemies capturing the people of Judah.

## well-coiffed hair, baldness ##

coiffed hair, baldness**  - "pretty hair, their heads will be bald"

## Your men will fall by the sword, and your strong men in war ##

"Enemies will kill your husbands and soldiers in battle."

## Jerusalem's gates will lament and mourn ##

Alternate translation: "The people of Jerusalem will sit at the city gates and cry and mourn." (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy]])

## she will be alone and sit upon the ground ##

Possible meanings are 1) "The city will be like a woman who sits on the ground because all her friends have deserted her" (See: UDB and [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-personification]]) or  2)  "the people of Jerusalem will sit on the ground with no one to help them." (See: [[rc://en/ta/man/translate/figs-metonymy]])
