Matthew 22:16 cut out a lot of the material already in the notes that serves here as background information and is not in the narrative text. ", who thought that the Israelites should pay only the tax that the Jewish authorities required them to pay. They also sent some members of the party that supported King Herod. The members of that party thought that the Israelites should pay only the tax that the Roman government required them to pay."
Also, "even if it is an important person who does not like what you teach" to what you see.
Matt 21:43 cut extra clause, "So, because you reject me, I am going to tell you this:" to make it as you see. Also changed the tense of the main verb to the present continuative.
Matt 21:42 cut extra clause, "That is right, so" This is not in the text, not needed for the narrative flow and gives the impression that Jesus commended the rulers.
Matt 21:20 change wording, "We are astonished that" since this just repeats the introductory clause "They were astonished and said..." Also, the quote becomes a question which it is in the Greek NA28.
Matt 21:19 change wording, "immediately started to dry up." changed to what you see. There is no textual indication of "started to" but only that the tree did dry up immediately.
Matt 21:16 cut excess wording, "They thought that Jesus should not be allowing the children to say that, so " not in the text and covered in the notes. Also changed "children" to "people" because all the people are included in the Greek "these" used as a pronominal adjective.
Matt 21:15 cut excess wording, "because they did not believe that Jesus was the Christ." This is not in the text and is interpretive. This is already in the notes.
Matthew 19:1 change wording from ""In order to illustrate how God rewards people, I will compare the way God begins to rule his people with what the owner of an estate did." to what you see. The wording did not reflect the original at all and tended to confuse the MTTs. And the concept of the kingdom is changed.
Added the "love with faith" clause. UBS HB says the Greek is obscure;
this rendering accounts for most of the important elements, if perhaps
not how they are related.
Matthew 19:28 change wording "my magnificent throne" to what you see. The idea is that the throne is not glorious, but Jesus' status and exaltation is glorious.
Matthew 18:23 cut & rephrase the opening sentence, "In order to illustrate why you should do this, I will tell you a parable." since this far too dynamic and would tend to confuse the MTTs rather than help.
Also, the next sentence, "That king told some of his servants that" changed to cut the wording that is too far from the original.
