- prepare a guest room for me - "make a room in your house ready for me." Paul asked Philemon to do this.
- through your prayers … to come to you - The words "your" and "you" here refer to Philemon and the believers that met at his house. (See: en:ta:vol1:translate:figs_you)
- through your prayers - This can be translated as "as a result of your prayers" or "because you all are praying for me."
- I shall be allowed to come to you - This can be translated as an active clause: "God will allow me to go to you" or "God will make those who are keeping me in prison to set me free so that I can go to you." (See: en:ta:vol2:translate:figs_activepassive)
